I saw the future once, I was drunk in a phone booth.

I am still not sure,
Is there some better place I could be heading towards?
Where the selfishly sick and self absorbed
Are welcome...

 some fond memories...

chocolate cake shooters at news cafe.
frantic room mates.
crazy early morning market days.
your cold rooms.
obsessive jealousy.
days filled with staying in pjays, kfc and videogames.
strange nights when you came over,
completely wasted, wanting to sleep in my tiny bed.
strange nights when went home together,
drinking and dancing. keeping everyone awake.
strange weekends in naboomspruit.
me crying on the floor. you trying to make it better.
good advice sometimes misinterpreted.
you crying in a bar. me leaving.
post breakup tequila at java.
boring weeks on the farm. over new years
your endless parade of girlfriends.
me trying to not like you.
trying to ignore you each morning as you walked up the stairs.
post post breakup squared out silliness.
becoming good friends. just before you leave.

"everything is permissible as long as it is fantastic"

(i'm working on the most horrible set of working drawings...and hate architecture right now...)

through weird instance, boredom, and the need to see something beautiful i rediscovered my collection of carlo mollino poloroids...

Carlo Mollino; avant garde architect, genius furniture designer, obscure photographer, solid race car pilot, aviator, teacher, inventor, eccentric extraordinaire obsessed with perfection, tortured by drugs, sex addiction and focused on creating intense and remarkable pieces of art until the last days of his life. (somehow i see most of my friends ending up here...maybe not the pilot part but the "eccentric extraordinaire", "tortured by drugs....")

After his death, in 1973, a huge collection of erotic photography was discovered in one of his apartments; thousands of polaroids shot during the last 15 years of his life were found, portraying young prostitutes styled and art directed by the man himself, Carlo experimented with rare methods of retouching, color alteration and light sources to achieve some of the most beautiful scenes in erotic photography. These images are a very strong source of reference in the fashion world nowadays, and you can totally see his influence in many of the big shooters around, his sense for decoration, fabric use, composition and love for the female form gave us a marvelous treasure....

ignore the obvious for it is unworthy of the clear eye

live so that, in that wondrous time you shall not
add to the misery and sorrow of the world but shall
smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it.

(and here is a fantastic music mix...compiled by a friend, djdoobie)
