pure and simple (over you)

'i've been looking so long at these pictures of
you that i almost belive that they're real i've
been living so long with my pictures of you that
i almost believe that the pictures are all i can
feel' - pictures of you.

photos by josh goleman. who is amazing. i've been a fan for over a year now.
his work is simple. and true. and lets not say anything about his wedding photography.
(makes you want to jump on the wagon).

guilt and imperfection.

Love is only a recognition of our own guilt and imperfection, and a supplication for forgiveness to the perfect beloved. This is why we love those who are more beautiful than ourselves, why we fear them, and why we must be unhappy lovers. When we make ourselves high priests of art we deceive ourselves again, art is like a genie. It is more powerful than ourselves, but only by virtue of ourselves does it exist and create.”

conversation with self

“You’re approaching manhood and you dislike yourself. That’s why you’re interrogating me. “Well, make up your mind and do something about it.”
You’re so thin-skinned that the softest criticism rubs you raw. “Accept criticism, man.
It can’t hurt, and it could be helpful.” Envy of others’ success hands around your neck like a rope.
“That’s stupid. Use their success to give you inspiration.” You squander too much time on trivial things, always hurrying to nowhere, and in a rush to get there.

“Take your time, man. Think things out first, then go.”
You avoid questions about yourself that you find hard to answer.
“Figure things out. You just don’t have the right answers, so admit it.”
You talk rapid-fire just to be heard, and without having anything worthwhile to say.
“That’s downright ego. Listen more. Keep your big mouth shut and keep your ears open.
Your insecurity’s showing.” Well, enough for now. There’s plenty left on the list for tomorrow.
“One last thing: Until you’re sure of yourself, you won’t be sure of anything. Think it over. See you tomorrow morning.”

furniture that is tiny. girls who make f-ing good movies.

this movie speaks of our generation. lost girls.

this is slightly annoying though, the director and lead lena dunham, is 24. already writing amazing movies. think this might be the girl answer to garden state. she is a year older than i am.

'i just got of the plane from ohio, i am in a postgraduate delirium'

' don't this outfit just scream, i've been living in ohio for 4 years, take me back to your gross apartment and have sex with me.'

why am i still doing what i'm doing.
