take me to the garden of paradise.

adorable cheese.
big smiles.

Remember how I said I’d come someday baby,
How I said I’d come around to see you one day,
I said I’d try to find a way to run away I’d get away some day And I’m gonna come someday baby,
Gonna fire on the water, hear you say,
I’m gonna fire on the water, trying to find you again and say:
I never thought I’d see you, again I never thought I’d get to be with my best friend, Never thought I had to tell you again, Never thought I had to tell you how I lost my mind again.

I left alone, I left the world I was running,
To be by your side I was dying, alone by your side I was flying.
I came alone, I’ve come a long way to get here, The leaves they fall to my feet,at home, They mean nothing to me.

Remember everywhere, everything is in this place, Take a place if you found a place to take,
Take away the way you want to walk away,
Make a way with my mind my mind’s away,
Wake me up when I’m on the throw to paradise,
Lift me off the ground and take me to the garden of paradise.

Remember everywhere, everything is in this place,
Take a place if you found a place to take,
And if you don’t have anything nice to say,
You can tell it while you take it to your grave, Wake me up when I'm on the throw to paradise,
Lift me off the ground and take me to the garden of paradise.

never thought i would get to be with my best friend

unanswered questions are cool as fuck.

sometimes in this life something really strange happens to you.
a brief interlude.
a pause. a week away from your normalness. something that will haunt you for a long time.
and it haunts.
you dont know why.
you drive down streets to catch a glimpse. hoping that the gates will open and reveal the answer.
you go to events, an accidental run-in.
casual cool?
you try and be cool.
our world is defined by your ability to maintain silence.
lack of response your best weapon.
and unanswered questions are cool as fuck.

"all of the good that wont come out of me,
and all the stupid lies i hide behind.
its such a big mistake lying here in your warm embrace"

the world is neatly trimmed lawns

with disarming sincerity and daunting formal sophistication "the tree of life" ponders some of the hardest and most persistent questions, the kind that leave adults speechless when children ask them.

who are you? the boy wants to know
and lurking wihtin this question is anohter: what am i doing here?

a horizon fast disappearing behind us

a recent trip to arts on main.
Ethiopian food and coffee.
pims and gingerale with cucumber.
carrot and date cupcakes with cream cheese topping.
french goat cheese.
amazingly cool clothes/wallets/hats/art/spaces/prints

arts on main:

"With a unique blend of studio, commercial, residential and retail spaces, Arts on Main is a hub for Johannesburg's creative community to develop and share ideas.

Arts on Main offers multiple creative experiences in one venue. Features include a restaurant, event and exhibition spaces, an outdoor cinema and a rooftop bar.

Developed in a newly converted early 1900s bonded warehouse, Arts on Main aims to preserve the historical aspects of the building and contribute to the Johannesburg CBD's urban regeneration.

Arts on Main is situated in the emerging City and Suburban area in the Johannesburg's Eastern CBD, in close proximity to the Absa headquarters, Ellis Park, and Jewel City."

on sundays they have the most amazing food market.
i can really recommend the ethiopian food (its r50 for a entire tray full of joy).
a range of curries/meats/vegetables served on a fermented rice pancake.
yum.
there is a beautiful girl that sits in the "grass quad" that serves ethiopian coffee in cute espresso cups.
she is amazingly gorgeous in very poise. watching her serve coffee is like watching a ballet.

here is a link to their website, for directions and more info.
it truly is a beautiful experience.
